"It is in your terms and conditions."

This phrase has saved me numerous times.

C - "Why am I charged for voicemail retrieval?"

R - "It is in your terms and conditions."

C - "That is not fair."

R - "It is in your terms and conditions."

C - "I wasn't told that!"

R - "It is in your terms and conditions."

C - Cingular sucks.

R - "It is in your... Wait a minute! You almost got me!"

God, I love my job! 🙂

HUH?

Do you mean why did I pick a job I don't get satisfaction from?

If so, I did not. I love my job. I think that customers are funny and it gives me stuff to do and talk about. Plus, the pay ain't bad either.

I had a call the other day where I brought this up to the customer.

C - Why did I lose my $25 I had on the account?

R - Your balance expired.

C - So you mean that if I don't use my money within a specific timeframe, I lose it.

R - Unless you add more funds before the expiration date, that is true.

C - No one told me that.

R - When you add funds, you are given an expiration date (what did you think it was for?) and it is in your terms and conditions.

C - You actually expect your customers to read the legal BS?

R - Whether you read it or not is your choice, but we did supply you with that information with your prepaid kit and it is also avail to be read at our website.

C - (Hang up)

P.S. This was not the first tim...
