Treo 650 - Cingular or Verizon??
Which provider is better with this phone?? Which has faster internet surfing?? Which is better with Email?? Do either limit any of its functions?? I've always been a palm user so I've been looking forward to getting my hands on one... just don't know with which provider. Help please.......

As far as wireless technology goes, you're comparing apples to oranges. Both are fruit but different flavors with Cingular using GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA while Verizon Wireless deploys CDMA/1xRTT/EVDO Rev 0 for their network. Seeing how the Treo 650 has already been replaced by the Treo 700, you may wish to consider getting it instead and go with the Windows Mobile OS.

But he's an avid palm user. So, if he's going to go with the 700, he'd want to get the 700p so that he may continue to use the OS he's used to and use the applications he already has.

My 650 works fine (it took 2 exchanges, but the 3rd one is the charm). I also have a 700w. If you like windows, try the 700w.
