I have a vx9800 and I was perusing the Get Going category to see what's new, and apparently the 9800 now supports VZ Navigator. Anyone else have this showing up on their phone? I'm running firmware T98VZ02. Get It Now version 3.1.2.42

As a Verizon Rep I've heard nothing about it so far. Though it's not terribly uncommon for VZW to "forget" to inform us of something until long after it's happened.

I say (if you're willing to shell out the money) give it a try and see if it works.

And if you do, let us know.

I heard about this awhile ago, they are keeping it on the DL. There should be more soon. Though my reps only told mew about the 9800 for sure.

Newer phones coming out in q2 and later will also be supporting VZ Nav but I can not remember which ones...

It IS a product VZW is very excited about and plans to make accessible on as many BREW phones as possible.

As of now it is just The V and v325.

I currently have the Motorola v325 which supports it but it's slow and there's no way around that. The phone does not support EV-DO. I'm debating going with the LG 8100 as it supports EV-DO and will hopefully support VZ Navigator in the future.

I've heard a rumor that the LG 8100 will eventually work with VZ Navigator. Can anyone confirm?

i wouldn't anticipate support with the 8300 coming out around the corner, but there may be a way for them to release the same version for both those models. if it comes for the 8300 it may become available for the 8100. speculation.

Cool. Thanks for the info... In the time since I posted that message I've decided to keep my v325. I tried the Navigator out on it today and it was pretty speedy. I also noticed several common problems with the 8100 based on the user reviews that I'd hate to deal with.

I finally figured out how to add addresses and look up businesses on the web and synchronize them to my Navigator's "Favorites". If anyone is interested here is the link: http://my.telenav.com
