You can do signatures, in a way. You can specify any kind of "profile text" you want in your account, and it will display when people click your username. That is designed to serve the same purpose as signatures.

Avatars are on the to-do list. I'll add them sooner or later. There are a few things I want to work on first, including a "preview" button, and the ability to upload and attach photos with messages. (What good is a Rumor Mill without photos?
