Because it seemed pointless and intended to annoy other users.

If someone wants to quote a part of it to make a point, that's fine. If someone wants to link to the whole thing on another site, that's fine. But there's no need to re-post the whole thing. People complained that the dozens of messages were unnecessary and clogging up the form, and I tend to agree.
