"Defunct" wasn't the correct term for that particular carrier. We changed that to the more generic "other" for that list of carriers.
Southern Linc was added to our list of carriers in the very early days of the site. Since then, we've had a policy (for many years now) of not listing regional carriers with under 1 million customers. There are simply too many for us to track. Southern Linc is not that large. For a while, we were happy to grandfather them in, but unfortunately we haven't had the resources lately to keep up with their phone lineup. Therefore, rather then continue to publish inaccurate info, we made the decision to stop tracking that carrier's phone lineup.
