We don't allow that because there needs to be some measure of accountability. Most people here are already anonymous, using pseudonyms. If people could change usernames that easily, it would be too easy for people to pretend to be someone different every other message.

Maybe if we earned loyalty points, and once you get a certain amount of loyalty points, you can convert them to name change points, and with a certain amount of name change points, you can change your screen name?
