Hey guys, your doing a great job with the site! I wanted to say that first.
I just have a question for you about moderators. Wondering how many of you there are, and if you ever got it set up so that you could program in additional moderators when you need the help. I just don't understand how the two of you can keep an eye on all the forums, and still keep up with the news. I did a search, and know that you were working on it a few years ago, but couldn't find anything that said you were successful in getting it implemented.

I call it as I see it people. If members abide by the Terms of Use set forth by Phone Scoop, no one has anything to worry about from the moderators.

Unless the Phone Scoop moderators bring on a few people to scour through the forums looking for IPs of banned members, it shall be a losing battle for Rich Brome and Eric Lin. The other Eric from my understanding does reviews and wireles commentary. they will lose every single time. For every member they ban, at least 4 new ones will replace them because all someone has to do is sign up from a different PC than the one they originally used. Rest be assured, Ray, deeterman, LOS, not2brite and all the other banned ones are still here. Like the ****roach, they will be here long after the Phone Scoop moderators have retired...

I'm sorry Rich if my thread offended you, but I tell it like I see it. I've been watching this site now for about a year and have watched the septic tank overflow here time and time again. The sad cold reality not only here at Phone Scoop, but at sites such as HoFo, PhoneNews and other ones dedicated to the wireless industry is you will always have those individuals/groups whose sole purpose is to ruin it for everyone. Unless you hit them with Round Up, the weeds will only return, but more resiliant than the first bunch.

There are some people that get banned, leave for a while, come back, and are allowed to stay if they're productive members of the community. How many times have you been banned now? 30? When are you going to get the hint?

A hint to what? It's nice to see a warm welcome to a newcomer here. All I stated earlier in response to Rich Brome's thread is that for every member that is show the door, four enter through the window. I personally feel if this site were to require registering with a valid credit card, the problem with banned members returning under new screen names would be eliminated. At eBay, if a member is banned from selling/buying at the auctions and try to establish a new account, their system will snag them due to the fact eBay can block a member's credit card. Take some anger management classes and lose the pedophile gravitar.

Short of shutting down Phone Scoop, what other choices do the moderators have at their disposal for dealing with the various banned forum members popping back up? I'm not suggesting Phone Scoop go to a pay site, but rather require a valid credit card to join. BTW, the King of Pop is the King of Porn.

Requiring a credit card for registration is the fastest way to get rid of the people that come to this website. What other choices do they have? I don't know, Ray, why don't you tell them how you keep getting around it? I'm sure that would help them greatly.
