HP iPAQ6300

Still looking for good PocketPC or Palm phone that isn't overbearing. Like the Treo600, but would rather have a PocketPC (big drawback is the lack of graffitti on Treo). Currently with Verizon and love their coverage (been loyal to them for 8 years). But, Sprint has a deal with my company and offer the Business Connection to my office's Exchange server.

Starting to hear rumors about an iPAQ63xx that will be coming post haste. Anyone have word on this???? And who will carry it?

Appreciate Verizon'sthoroughness with testing phones, but there has to be a middle ground. They are so far behind on decent high-end phones...

Verizon 120e Motorola phone work on Alltel Network

Bought a 120e that was on Verizon network. Took into Alltel. Put is on the computer and she said she could not program it. Phone is good though. Sugested to take it to verizon to see if they could do something to the programing to allow hers to address it.

Verizon kid said no can do. Different chips inside.

Hard to belive this is the case. Cant believe Motorola would manufacture different radios for the CDMA phones. I would think it would be in the CMOS or bios and all that is needed is to be erased or "flashed".

IS this smoking mirrors ?

Anyone know the real Truth?

Verizon PDA Phones

Anyone know of any new PDA phones coming out for Verizon? The Kyocera 7135 was what I wanted but they pulled it because of battery problems screwing up the phone. I want a flip/clamshell not a pda size phone. Any knowledge out there?

enlighten me please

I'm looking for a an product that I'm not sure exists, so bear with me please. I want a device for my home that can pass through my cellular phone calls right into the wired phones in the house. What I envision is an AC powered desktop charger/hands free type unit with a RJ11 connection which connects into a wall jack that once I place my cellular phone into it, it can pass through calls to the standard phones I have wired in the house. Does such an animal exist for any model phone? If so please advise....I'm want to dump my wired home phone service, but do not want to loose the in-home convenience it affords.

I GIVE UP...but one last chance--can anyone help?

I have the NEC 525 and want to return it and my warranty ends tomorrow--Can anyone help--

I am looking for a phone that has:

-an mp3 card slot
-a camera
-ability to work in Europe and the US-- and fairly well

I know the mpx200 has the mp3 but not the camera.

Is anything ABOUT to come out or out yet, I don't think so...? Any suggestions?

I just returned the Treo because the keyboard was too small for me to type on so I am going to keep a Blackberry for email, but want a better phone.

THANK YOU!

SE T608 on Verizon?

Can Verizon activate the SE T608 that Sprint is offering? My limited knowledge re: these two carriers was that Verizon now required ti-band phones (1900MHz and 800MHz CDMA, 800MHz AMPS) for activation (which the T608 is). Or maybe it is just their policy that they will only activate phones "configured" for their network.

Sprint, however, only has 1900MHz CDMA (and access to 800 MHz analog, which it charges its customers when they use it, unlike Verizon).

Is there really a 'hard-wired' configuration within the phone which predisposes it to look for a particular carriers towers as its primary? Or is it like the GSM phones which often only need to have their software and/or firmware changed to "unlock" them?

Why? I want a bluetooth...

Car Mopunted Antennas

I am looking for some insight into the usefulness of a mounted antenna in my vehicle. I travel often in remote areas of Nebraska where cell service is almost nonexistent. I am usually able to detect a signal with my V60, but I usually cannot make or maintain a call.

I am looking into the possibility of mounting an antenna in my truck. I am looking for any thoughts that you might have about the alternatives available.

Thanks

Verizon Push to talk

Has any one heard when Verizon will be coming out with a new push to talk phone. I heard Verizon was tentative with a Samsung model. And possibly a Motorola, just curios on some makes and models as I am in the market for a new phone and have been patiently waiting on a new color push to talk phone from Verizon since early August.

Thanks,

Chris

IF YOU GUYS ARE SO SMART!

THIS MESSAGE IS IN REGARDS TO THE T-MOBILE CLAIMS POSTED EARLIER. IF ALL THOSE GSM CARRIERS CAN PROVIDE EXTENDED COVERAGE THEN WHY DON'T THEY ADVERTISE THESE HUGE NETWORKS. TV ADS THAT SAY THIS. I HAVE TO HEAR IT FROM THESE CARRIERS REPS. WHY IS IT NOT IN WRITING? IM SURE THEY THROW THAT STUFF IN THE FINE PRINT ON COVERAGE MAPS FLYERS, SO WHY NOT TELL THE WORLD. HUGH PRINT! BY THE WAY MY REFERENCE TO SHARING TOWERS THAT WAS IN AN EARLIER MESSAGE WAS ME REPEATING THE SAME EXACT STATEMENTS PASSED FROM AT&T/ T-MOBILE/ & CINGULAR REPS. THEY ALL SAID "SHARE" IN RESPONES TO YOUR ATTACKS. HIRE BETTER REPRESENTATION!

Motorola iDEN

I have not seen many posts on Nextel's iDEN technology. Thought it would be a good discussion. I have a good grasp of this network used by Nextel. If there are any questions or comments about Nextel, or iDEN, post them here. Thanks

What is the difference?

I recently started working PT at Radio Shack. We offer both Sprint and Verizon in our region. I hear things from time-to-time that I believe to be "repeated" without verification. For example...I am told that GSM is "lousy", or "there are all kinds of problems with GSM."

Is this due to the fact that neither Sprint nor Verizon offer GSM, or is it true that there are "all kinds of problems" with GSM?

Are there ANY Cell providers in the US that offer true world-wide service...well world-wide whereever there IS service?

Thanks,
Dennis
