Nokia phone

Any chance VZW will add a Nokia phone. I really like the 3589i but would prefer some of the other models I see Nokia has placed with other comapnies.

The 6015i is a new CDMA phone but not certain if it is destined for Sprint or VZW. Any ideas ?

Anybody hear anything about VZW & MobileTel?

I'd heard from a regional VZW guy that Verizon & MobileTel were either going to merge in Q4 or form some sort of roaming relationship in the Gulf Coast area, specifically around southern Mississippi & extreme southeast Louisiana. Has anybody else heard about this?

need some input

I'm new here, but i wanted to get some feedback on some phones. I have an LG VX10 and have had problems with it. I'm looking at buying a new phone ( I use Verizon Wireless) and I'm interested in the new Kyocera slide phone, as well as the Samsung SCH-a530s flipphone. Does anyone have any feedback either way about either of these phones? i was wondering how other people are doing with either of these models. I'd appreciate any help...thanks!

These seem to be the smartphones of choice. which do you preferr and why?
Similar in size, is the OS, features, functions, ease of use, e-mail support...what I'd like to know. If you tried and returned one...why?

New website, needs feedback, with password to cheaper prices

Basically we have just finally launched our website from Beta to Active.

We are looking for some feedback about what people think about the site. Is it user friendly? Easy to navigate? Easy on the eyes?

Long story short, for your time and efforts you are entitled to cheaper pricing. Where it says "enter group code" type in "website" and you should see a dramatic change in the pricing. Feel free to pass this password around to anyone, as it is exclusive to phonescoop members and will never be invalid.

Nextel to buy Sprint (RUMOR)

Just a rumor I heard.. You know how rumors go... Can anyone give ANY info on this rumor?

Sides.. WHY would Nextel buy sprintPCS anyways? What would they get out of it? The signal protocol CDMA would not mesh well with IDEN in my humble opinion.

Ideas? Comments?

One last question about LG VX8000

Just because EV-DO isn't being launched nationally until 2005, does this mean that the phone itself also won't come out until 2005? Will the phone come out this year? Thanks in advance!

Has anyone heard of a roaming agreement that tmobile has with NPI wireless? I hear NPI got bought out and now are talking about getting rid of the Tmobile roaming agreement. That would not be cool. Anyone?

Nokia 6200 from cingular has some settings blocked out!!!

the AT&T version of this phone, has "System Selection" a option to manuly search for service, or to place it on automatic..

anyway the cingular version does not have it, and I just spoke to NOKIA and was told that CINGULAR BLOCKED OUT THOSE SETTINGS

so does anybody know of a way to change that, and to be able to pick other carriers,

so far where I am, even in the OFFICIAL dead spots (cingular acknowledged it themselves) since its in and around a city, where cingular does have coverage, I am picking up 0-1 bar of service, and still does not search for another carrier (AT&T GSM has full service there)

from the way NOKIA put it, ("CINGULAR BLOCKED OUT THOSE SETTINGS OF SYSTEM SELECTION...") sounds like, this plan of free roaming i...

Video Camera Phones and Reception

I heard just yesterday that a couple of Sprint reps told someone that having a Vid-Cam in your cell phone hurts reception. Anyone know anything about whether this is true?

CDM-9500

I just switched my cell phone carrier and I bought a new phone, the toshiba CDM-9500. I bought this phone because it is supposed to give phone numbers of unlisted numbers on the caller ID instead of saying restricked or unlisted. How do I make this happen? Thanks for any help you can give me.
