Best/Fastest way to charge devices

Is it better to charge one's device via the computer or through an outlet? I know one method takes much longer than the other but what I am wondering if one way is more efficient or preferred for certain devices.

Thanks!

So...A Little Confused

Embarassed

I know what 4G LTE is from Verizon and I keep hearing that other carries have ramped up 3G that they're calling 4G but am really confused as to what T-Mobile and Sprint offers from their service and their network. Sorry I know I've posted before but am swaying towards T-Mobile here since Verizon got rid of their Unlimited Data and I feel as though they may be the better option out of Sprint but if someone can explain the difference between the 2 carries technologies I'd appreciate it

Thanks

Does anyone rate a phone's volume at the earpiece?

I could not find this in a discussion thread, point me to it if I missed it.

Issue: how do I find a phone that has a loud volume at the earpiece (is that the right term for the small speaker you listen through when not on speaker phone mode?).

You can't judge this at the store very well, most display phones won't dial out so you can hear it while talking to someone.

This is for someone who is not deaf or hard of hearing, just older and outside a lot.

How do I find how loud a phone is when you listen to it pressed to your ear?

Prepaid versus Contract

Are you on a prepaid plan or a contract plan? Why?

I'm on a prepaid plan. I just don't see how one can justify the prices. Plus, I'm ok with terrible 3G speeds.

Other Options

I am due for my contract to end on Verizon this coming Summer. I am on the Unlimited plan right now obviously aware that they're doing away with the Unlimited plan or have done away with it. I am thinking of switching carriers and was toying around with the possibility of switching to T-Mobile or Sprint. Can anyone give me some info in terms of how good they are and whether or not its worth making the switch?

Thanks

Lumia Commercial

I'm tired of seeing the newest Lumia 900 commercial with this girl named Megan Landry. This is total disrespect to Dallas(At&t headquarters) legend Tom Landry. Who wants to be associated with slick navigation tiles from Microsoft and Nokia.. not I!

FRUSTRATION with Sprint -- Who has the BEST direct connect now?

My elderly mother depends on her direct connect to contact me (her only care-giver).

It is unreliable now in the Washington, D.C. area. When I called Sprint customer service, they didn't have much advice, other than to switch to another phone with a two-year agreement and slower (yes, his word) direct connect.

Who has the best direct connect in the cellular world? I need a phone with direct connect that my 80-year-old mother can easily use (we have the ic502 now). I may have to change carriers and phones.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Alan

PS: Here is my letter to Sprint CEO (so far, no response):

Forward attachements

Is there a smart phone that allows you to simply forward attachments?
At home I, on my PC, I hit forward and all the attachements go.
On my Droid, I need to download the attachemnt(s) and them email from there. Would also have to copy original message to send with it.
So when I get an email (with a word doc, excel doc, pic, adobe file, etc.) I want to hit forward and send that attachment(s) with original message.
Help:-)

Please Help. Need the perfect phone asap.

Hi all, great website! I hope someone can help quick, my phone just crapped out. I have a 5 year old tilt that has every feature I want and has been great until now. I am having a difficult time finding a replacement. Here are my must haves:

1. Be able to sync with outlook calendar, contacts, and notes flawlessly (at least once - I am not hung up on keeping outlook)

2. syncronize the above data via usb cable and prevent any of the above information from storing on "the cloud".

3. Stand alone gps - not just A-GPS

4. 7+ hours talk time

5. web, google maps or similar

6. no need for social stuff - I don't do it.

7. Expandable memory

8. Front camera

9. 8mp Camera

10. Flash

11. Reliable (not flaky)

I think t...
