E63

Is the Nokia E63 still being produced? I recently saw one in a box in Thailand, with a manufacture date of 2012, made in Korea.

Buy/Sell forum?

Just a quick idea I thought I'd throw out there for the P.S. users. How about a buy/sell forum? I'm looking to swap my Sprint SERO line for some form of AT&T or T-Mobile demo line and the only website that seems to offer this kind of market is cell trade USA but they want money.

Obviously I'd recommend this be limited to individuals not business as they should be sponsors but just an idea.

with all the HOOPLA about getting unlock codes for cells, for the ppl who have gotten their phone unlicked why not help others by posting the codes ot what the technique is to applying the codes. Droid or Atrix?

Brief rundown:

I own a Lapdock for my old Motorola ARTIX 4G and love it because my phone could keep perpetually charged battery.

Now I need a new phone.

I will have to find an accessory for lapdock compatibility, and I know they are out there somewhere.

What is best?
A.) Droid RAZR MAXX HD
B.) Atrix HD
C.) Droid RAZR HD
D.) Something else and please be specific.

I can use any service provider.

I understand the Webtop might not be available, but that is okay if the phone runs being mirrored.

Inexpensive Low Signal Solutions?

I will be moving to a hilly rural area with significant variations in cell phone reception.

While checking rentals, noticed for many houses there is acceptable reception outdoors but when go inside the reception is unacceptable.

Anyone know of inexpensive solutions for this in house low signal problem?

Thanks

Matilda

Sony Xperia Z Review and How to Play Blu-ray Movies on Xperia Z

We're barely a few days into 2013 but that hasn't stopped smartphones from being announced. Sony is one of the first off the block with Xperia Z, the company's new flagship Android phone. With the hope to change its poor position on smartphone world and place itself amongst the stars, Sony is with all its forces to make Xperia Z a wonder in 2013 and even make it stack up against with the established kings of Google's castle like Galaxy S3, HTC One X. So how does this latest flagship Android device compare to its peers? Take a gander at my review.

Announced at CES 2013, this new handset takes over the role of its predecessor Xperia T and meanwhile it is toting an impressive set of specs. Now let us go in for a closer look.

Seeking dumb phone as data gateway for multiple devices

Dear Phone Scoop Forum Members.

After much reading, I don't find a clear solution. I know how to tether a PC through a dumb phone, using Bluetooth DUN. Or tether a tablet through a smart phone using either WiFi or BT-PAN.

But what if I want my tablet to connect through a dumb phone? The dumb phone would be for calls. The tablet for browsing.

Imagine I have the tablet.
And want to buy a rugged simple dumb phone, and plan, for calling and data.
I'm willing to pay for a tethering plan... cost is not the object, ease of setup is.
What models, plans (in the USA), and settings are needed?

Keywords: feature phone, WiFi tethering, Bluetooth DUN, BT-PAN.

Call quality using GrooVe IP, TalkaTone, NetTALK, etc on a smartphone

I've seen articles about using VOIP apps on a smartphone when connected to wifi to save on voice minutes. But is the call quality anywhere as good as using the normal cell tower? I'd like to know before I get a prepaid plan with low voice minutes.

Do you agree with this list?

Most of this I agree with.... I personally think the S III is probably the best phone out right now.
