Reading books on 4.5" 720p or 5" 720p or 5.5" 720p comparison

What would be better for reading books on a phone?
4.5" 720p or 5" 720p or 5.5" 720p ?
There are some really good phone of these sizes under 18,000.

I want Moto G only size is holding me back.

Full HD 1080p will be costly, will demand more battery/GPU, heavy games might lag on a mid-range 1080p phone plus 720p is enough for reading books I guess.

You can also suggest good phones for these sizes.
I'm considering 4.5" Moto G, 5"Xolo Q1100 or Zen Ultrafone HD (its cheap), 5.5" upcoming HTC Desire 816.

Mass Txting for Large Groups

I send about 24,000 txt messages per month.
1500 contacts x 4 txts per week x 4 weeks

Can somebody tell me about a FREE (or Cheap) service or app that I can use?

The group needs to be automatically saved & ready for the the next new msg after I send a msg.

I must easily add my current database automatically without having to have everybody "opt in" again.

I'm looking to buy a new phone.
What phones or tablets is this service compatible with?

Thank you for your time.

Switching providers

I am switching from Verizon to Consumer Cellular in 1 week when my contract expires. Verizon cancelled my employer discount and a 2 line service with only voice access is costing $85 monthly. My question: I have an LG5600 Accolade and need to know if the #s in my phone book can be transferred either with a new phone or keeping the same one. I don't think the phone has a SIM card, but due to my inexperience, I'm not sure. I haven't been able to get a solid answer so am hoping you can help. If not, I guess I'll have to list all the #s by hand and re program them after the provider switch. Thanks for any help you can give me. Confused

Smart watches which one do you prefer?

I am thinking of picking up the original Pebble E-Ink Smart Watch. Mainly because e-ink is readable in direct sunlight. The other ones I see on the market use OLED displays. So any opinions out there?

Anyone going to try out Beat Music app/service tomorrow (Jan 21st)

I believe you get one month free, I am currently using Google Music All Access. But something tells me that someone in the music industry like Dr Dre might have better connections to get more music for his service.

What should I do for Lost Android Contacts?

I was composing a message and the phone got stuck when I was about to select the recipients. (Wanted to group send message so that’s why I was not answering directly.) After waiting for a while the phone was still not responding then I forced to shut down and turned it on again. Okay I again edited the same text and tap to choose receivers. Good grief! NO CONTACTS! EMPTY! Why? What happened?

I first tried to sync Gmail contacts back to my HTC, however when I logged in to Gmail and it was the same! NO CONTACTS!

Long story short, I finally found Myjad Android Contact Recovery which seems to be useful because I want simply the contacts. So is there anyone tried successfully restoring lost contacts with this program? Any advice? Many th...

Verizon let me upgrade and remain on unlimited data.

Cool

After almost a year of terror, blackmail, extortion and torment I finally got an upgrade to the new iPhone and still kept unlimited. For almost a year I was met with resistance from Verizon COR reps telling me "you can't keep unlimited because it doesn't exist". This was always something that seemed nonsensical because of the fact that it obviously DOES exist because I have it. It may not be offered anymore, but denying it's existence is just insulting. You'd figure that the bean counters at the check mark would have come up with something g better.

That said, after several conversations with CS, one of them finally revealed that they have a 12 month "NEXT" type of program that allows one to split up the retail cost of the phone...

Do You Believe:One Bar of Power Is Left = Strong Radiation?

Have you heard the rumour that the cell phone had better not be used when there is only one bar of power left because the radiation in such a circumstance may be about 1000 times the intensity of that in normal circumstances. Do you believe that? Shocked

As a matter of fact, the radiation intensity of cell phones that usually mentioned by people means the transmit power. It has nothing to do with the dump energy, while it has something to do with the signal intensity of the cell phone. The signal intensity of the cell phone is controlled by base stations which receive signals from cell phones constantly. If the signal of a cell phone is too weak to maintain communication, the base station will issue instructions to intensify the radiati

Android VS iOS, which is better??

I am not sure if I am putting this in the correct forum, however I pose the question. To be totally honest I am a student majoring in computer science, and I happen to work for an indirect Verizon agent. Well for one of my classes I have to write a persuasive speech, hence the question. I didn't want to ask just anyone, but people who have actual knowledge on the topic. So any input one way or another would be great! And please, tell me why? Even if it is because it comes in a cool color is a valid reason. Thank you!

Dial Tone on Cell Phone

Has anybody experienced a dial tone on their cell. I had a call come in, saw the contacts name, answered , but it was a dial tone. The displayed showed the call was active with the contact's name also. I stayed on for a few seconds saying hello, hello, and then all of a sudden my friend could be heard. I dont understand this and it has happened a couple times.

rice bag method for wet phone works?

Hi guys,
I read on this blog http://www.thephonetown.com that putting your wet phone in rice bag could save it from getting dead. Just want to know if any one has actually experienced it and does it work or not. If this doesn't work, then is there any other method to save a wet phone? Asking because I'm someone who keep dropping my phone in water.
