Frustrated with the added fees from my carrier!
I thought too good to be true but I love it. Same plan only $65/mo for 5GB of data and that includes taxes and insurance on my phone. They will give me a free month if I recommend them to a friend and they sign up. I didn't have to sign a contract and they took care of my early termination fees too.
I am telling everyone I know about them. Hopefully I will never have to call and be on hold forever again.

Good Linux Distro for a Gateway 4010u
I also tried Macpup and Bohdi but did not work because of issues with the Intel GMA 3600 driver. Seems like the Enlightenment desktop doesn't work and Ubuntu stopped supporting this driver after 13.
Peppermint 4 did work best out of all of them, but that's because it's based off of Ubuntu 13. I want a system that's more up to date.
I'm going to give Chakra Linux Descartes a shot tonight because I have read that Arch, which Chakra is based off of, continues to support Intel GMA 3600.
Any tips, tricks or hacks that I can try? Thanks.
Seeking an in-line disconnect/reconnect for standard phone line
Electrical storms are common in our area and the damage that lightning strikes can do to the home utilities here is always a threat. I've invested in surge protection with several different products (each at least 100 USD, btw) in the past years, none of which turned out to be 100% reliable... and paid the cost. The last few I've tried supposedly had the phone line surge protected along with the power cords. But the last one (surge protector) destroyed during a storm led to to more drastic measures to prevent damage. Apparently, there is more potential damage from a surge th...

Living in a dead zone
Living in a "dead zone", I have to walk halfway down the drive to make a cell call.
There's no cable where I live, so I had to get Hughesnet (sattlelite) for internet.
Now, I've heard of a thing called a "femtocell" that plugs into my router and provides a cell signal inside my home.
My question is where to get one and how much do they cost?
If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated...
