Tether Thru Skyfire Detectable? Tech Help

I'm looking to tether to my desktop, going thru
Skyfire: it renders web pages same as PC. ATT
rep says they will be able to detect this & tell
me I've violated the contract & send me a bill
based on kbs used. Does anyone have the technical smarts or possibly know someone who does to verify this?
Back story: data plan thru the big rip-off is only $15/mo on an un-smart phone. I don't want to browse using the compressed protocol. Data is data!

Thanx

I wanna have cheap wireless gamepad.

I'm really getting bored playing PES with a long gamepad's cable because everytime i would worry about pulling the cable apart.i wanna have a wireless Gamepad! After browsing among Ebay's pages i found that most of the not-bad wireless gamepad would cost around $30, and on amazon the same item's price is even higher.couldn't i get a wieless gamepad with $15 or lower.i'm a gamepad killer and would wear 4 gamepads out in less then 10 months,so it's ok even the gamepad's quality is not great,as long as the price is low. if someone has any shopping experience on this website please post here.looking forward to seeing your post. Thank you!

Tethered modem

I've heard a tethered modem connected on using Verizon's software is very unreliable. I was looking at a HTC Ozone and planned to tethered it once in a great while to my laptop. Is a tethered modem connection that unreliable? Can you not use Verizon's connection software? Thanks!

Ericsson CTO himself said 3G didn't live up to it's true promise, are you going to question him too?

Here is a quote from an industry expert, someone who knows more than BOTH you and me, who said that 3G didn't live up to it's potential, here's the quoted paragraph, plus the link to the whole article, it's Ericsson's CTO, he makes mention of the "true promise of 3G", implying that 3G never did live up to it's potential, and now that LTE & WiMAX are nearly here, or in WiMAX's case already in some cities, 3G has essentially reached the end of it's days WITHOUT living up to it's POTENTIAL,don't you remember reading articles about 7.2/14.4mbps and so on that 3G is capable of "theoretically", well, here we are 9wks away from 2010, 4G is being deployed, and 3G NEVER did live up to it's POTENTIAL:

"If we did have more bandwidth, he said, weââ‚...

Anybody have Clear's serivce?

I'm really wanting REAL mobile broadband, the word "REAL" for you fanboys means that even though it's wireless that it's the SAME speed I can get from cable internet. If a company is going to use the word "broadband" then I put them in the same group as cable companies.

Anyway, anybody out there who has Clear's service? I live in Las Vegas. And I see they're stores around town. Are the speeds consistent? Or do they dip down to 900kbps-1.1mbps? Cause I've heard Clear's network does speeds of upward of 4/5mbps.

Also, are there any evil data limits with Clear's service?

Hope to hear from someone soon. Preferably someone here in Las Vegas.

BUSINESS plan for data card / cellular broadband w/out cap???

I really appreciate your time and expertise. I need a business plan for my LLC (have Fed. tax ID and state paperwork) for wireless data that doesn't impose a 5gb cap. I've searched and searched, and see lots of posts about consumer plans that have cap.

Is there a carrier that doesn't enforce this for business plans?

What industries regularly exceed the 5 GB cap on laptop data cards?

Now that all the major carriers have capped their data usage at 5 GB, I am curious if there are specific industries that use laptops and require more data. Thank you for your thoughts.

At&T wirerless 3G internet service

Just purchased wireless INTERNET service through AT&T. Their 3G is 60.00 after adding federal and state taxes I expect it to come in at around 80.00, Although the person the I spoke with knew nothing about taxes applied to charges.
I am so disappointed with the speed, its terrible, so I started timing my selection results and it never was less than 23 seconds. I had to purchase a satellite dish 4 years ago from a company named Starband, and after experiencing configuration problems when the changed their satelite I had no other option.
I started seeing 19.99 offer being advertized yesterday, also stating that it wasnt a promotional limited monthly deal. I guess I don't care because I'm canceling this service. It's worse than the old dial ...

They have screen shots to prove the shamefully low speed, supposed 3G isn't even EDGE speed! ! !

WoW!!! I heard Clear has 13mbps!!!

And is only $40/mo, also known as $20 less than ATT & Verizon. Screw $60/mo! Such a rip off and it isn't even REAL broadband, by real broadband I'm referring to the kinds of speeds we get from cable internet, which is the benchmark for broadband.

Sure is nice to know REAL wireless broadband is available on the market NOW. And then next year Verizon will have 4G with 8-12mbps.
