Voice Command spec suggestion

As a suggestion, could you include weather the phone has built in Voice Command feature such as SIRI for I Phones. Right now on the specs it just mentions voice dailing .

Could you also clear up weather Google Now is available for all Android and if you're able to use it to activate voice command features such as texting without internet connection.

Thanks

Site glitches?

I've just made some key changes to the core code of the layout of the site. The desktop version of the site should look identical, and did in testing. But if you notice any changes/glitches, please let me know here. Thanks!

Spec Suggestion

Hi, I think it would be good if a piece of information about a phone can be added to the info section (where you mention the OS, processor, Bluetooth profiles, camera, etc). When looking at the specs, I know this isn't so important, it would be good if u guys add/mention the colors on which a phone is available.
I know some people that have made their decision about a phone based on the color, of their fav color's available they'll dump the other even if it has better tech specs.
Just a suggestion.

Phone spec question. . .

I was looking at the specs on the T-Mobile Sony Z1s, and the supported frequencies, 700mhz is listed. Does that phone really support the 700 band? I know Tmo aquired some 700mhz licenses from Verizon, but I also heard that deal hasn't closed yet.

Is it true the deal STILL hasn't closed?

I intend on getting the Galaxy S5 when it comes out, and I would like it to be future-proof, and have the 700mhz Band 12 support, I am hoping it will.

Dunno if it's intentionally not live yet or not...

But the banner that has a link to a Sprint phone giveaway leads to a page that says "Error page not found."

Activity Thingy

What "activity" are they messuring? Views, posts, other?
How often does it updates?

The reason why I ask is because I've seen that it the activity meter seems to be static, it points towards more "activity" to some threads that been dead for ages, or even though there's more activity in other posts it stays pointing out to the same old one.

Thanks.

HEY RICH

More than once I've gone to order a battery for a custy, and it was out of stock and not anticipated to come in for a month, I'm certain manufacturers use the same battery for different models, but I have no way of knowing which ones are interchangeable. Is there a place on this site where I can look this up?

BTW if my spelling is atrocious it's your own darn fault for getting rid of spellcheck ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰

Battery Life

What's a normal day of use for you guys?

I've had a few smartphones over the last 2 years and most handset's I've had, have barely made it through 10-12 hours of moderate use.

This is the configuration that I use:
Auto brightness, bluetooth radio off, wifi off, HSPA data on, no LTE, GPS off.

Apps that I have installed and are often pulling data from the network.
Gmail, Skype, Google Hangouts, Whatsapp, Line, Facebook Messenger (I've disabled Facebook notifications), Twitter.

I check my phone a few times during the days and chat a little bit, no more than 5 minutes each time and no more than 7-10 times between 6AM and 4PM.
I don't stream music or use online radio, I rarely watch videos online, but I often use the built in music...

Will phonescoop have it?

Eric said:
In order for this to work, however, sites need to add the "mobile-web-app-capable" meta tag.

Advertisements on this site

The ads on this site have gone crazy.

I'm getting ads that appear to be from google that are spreading outright lies, I see ads for asian call girls, I even saw an ad that said best buy was the BEST place to buy a phone!

Maybe it is, but what's up with the Asian callgirl ads?
Seriously?

Hardware Usability

What do you, PS reviewers, base on to judge such category?? (Or, how do you rate a phone's Hardware Usability?)

Sorry, but based on your reviews, I don't fully understand what that category refers to, as some phones may have similar features on their hardware but are rated differently (I'm aware its different from Hardware Quality).

BlackBerry Bold 9900

Hi, guys!
I see that your page for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 shows it as discontinued with T-Mobile and AT&T. https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p =3289
What is your source for that status? Curious as it is showing as active in AT&T.

...and we're back

We had an extended site outage today. I apologize for the inconvenience.

It was due to server maintenance scheduled by our hosting provider that ran about 11 hours longer than scheduled. We expected downtime of about three hours in the middle of the night, but things went awry and we had to wait for our hosting provider to fix things on their end. They ran into problems with the automated configuration of networking for a large number of servers (including ours) and had to fix it manually.

Again, sorry! Everything is back up and working now. We will continue to monitor for any post-maintenance hiccups.
