In the Mobile space, Microsoft is the creator of the Windows Phone OS and platform for phones. This platform competes with Apple's iOS and Google's Android, among others. Before Windows Phone, Microsoft offered Windows Mobile, a different, incompatible platform that was retired when Windows Phone was introduced. Microsoft also operates Bing and Bing Maps for mobile. The company's Zune media player software is available exclusively on Windows Phone. The XBox Live gaming app is available for multiple OSes. Microsoft also offers the Windows desktop OS, and many other apps, sites, and services for desktop and mobile.
