Why "Defunct"?
Why is SouthernLinc Wireless now listed as defunct? I hadn't heard anything about it being acquired by another carrier. Did Sprint Nextel acquire it?

SouthernLINC is owned by the Southern Company. An electric utility holding company serving the SE. They own Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power and Mississippi Power.
SouthernLINC could survive by only providing service to there own utility companies if needed.
