Nice to know I'm not the only one having this problem but your post is too late; I'm already frustrated.
I tried contacting Sanyo via email. Their response was disappointing. It was essentially a 'canned' response. Offered a few links to Sprint or other places which had nothing to do with my original question. They said if having trouble using 'Snap Media/Dialer/Sync' software to contact futuredial.com I don't know if this has anything to do with connecting the phone to a PC as a storage device but I'll give it a try. It shouldn't be so difficult to do. What a PITA.
