Qwest Wireless customers getting any deals from Verizon?
Are any Qwest Wireless customers getting good deals, with this change?
I lose One Number Service. Right now, I give folks a landline phone number. If I'm in my office, that phone rings. But, if I'm out and my cell phone is on, the same call gets routed to my cell. I don't have to forward the calls; they are automatically forwarded.
I get a single voice mail box. If there's a message there, both my office phone and my cell phone knows about it and notifies me.
When I call my home, using my Qwest phone, it's a free call. It doesn't get deducted from my cell plan's minutes.
I get my wireless and wired phone service on the same bill.
I think I lose all these features, with the change to Verizon. Plus, it's beginning to look like I'm going to end up paying more (although Qwest is still working out the bundling discounts, as I write this).
So, is there anything that Qwest or Verizon is going to do to sweeten this deal for me? If not, I see no reason why I shouldn't be looking at Tmobile, AT&T, Sprint, and any other carrier that serves my area.
