Qwest Kantana USB not supported?

Trying to access my Qwest Sanyo Katana on my laptop via USB cable, I was unable aquire it. After scouring the internet looking for a Qwest Katana driver, I called customer support. They say that the phone cannot be plugged into a computer. Has this feature been dissabled by Qwest (to force the use of their data transfer service) or is the CSR misinformed? Perhaps this post will save someone else the frustration that I've been dealing with.

Nice to know I'm not the only one having this problem but your post is too late; I'm already frustrated. 🙂 I tried contacting Sanyo via email. Their response was disappointing. It was essentially a 'canned' response. Offered a few links to Sprint or other places which had nothing to do with my original question. They said if having trouble using 'Snap Media/Dialer/Sync' software to contact futuredial.com I don't know if this has anything to do with connecting the phone to a PC as a storage device but I'll give it a try. It shouldn't be so difficult to do. What a PITA.
