Can you confirm any price drops for the HTC Fusion or the HTC Mogul within the next few months?

Good luck. Qwest has a wierd pricing tier with new phones that makes them non-competitive with the larger cell carriers. Qwest rarely drops the price of a phone unless it's been on the market for a long time or it's being retired.

As an example, Qwest sold the Katana for 69.99 up until the Katana ll came out for the same price. Qwest is now selling the Katana's @ it's kiosk for 39.99 until the inventory was depleted.

You could get either phone @ Sprint cheaper than Qwest.

Logically, that's what I thought.. Qwest is normally higher priced.

I was just informed by a rep at a Qwest stand that in november they were planning on lower prices do to quarter lowering or something of that sort, who knows.

As much as I'd like to believe that, I know a lot of reps spew BS, I work in the warranty service call center for AT&T and we have AT&T corporate store reps setting all sorts of unreasonable expectations.

It would be interesting to see if Qwest does lower prices and get more aggressive in luring customers on the wireless side. I agree that you have to take what the reps say with a grain of salt. It's rare that you get someone to give you a realistic apprasial of what they are trying to accomplish.

If you look at their marketing strategy, they emphasize bundling and push DSL, but rarely do they do anything with the wireliss side. Qwest does appear to have some good offers once you sign on like free calls to your home line and free phones for all your lines when you renew.

Qwest always appears to be a dollar short and a day late on the wireless side.

Yeah they do seem a little off on the whole wireless side of things, it's really strange because I'm satisfied with the service, being an MVNO of Sprint gives me better coverage than my girlfriend who is on T-Mobile. Anywhere my girlfriend goes I have 2+ more bars of service than her.

However they really lack in phones, and I got excited when they released the new HTC devices on their line. Right now if the prices lowered I still wouldn't renew because that would make me have to change my family's plan to a more expensive one.

What I really want to do is just break someone down in price on craigslist by comparing prices with that of the Qwest stand. I bought my last phone on ebay and it worked great, no contract renewal. I'd really ...

Ah ha.. scored a Qwest Mogul today on craigslist for 245 bucks, cheaper than the activation fee price without the activation.

It is brand new straight out of the packaging.. pretty sweet deal.
