Anyone still using alltel?

I live in NW iowa and have to make a choice. To pick a phone out of the lousy choices Alltel offers me for a 1-year contract, or wait until the merger with AT&T is complete, or switch companies all together. Since this is one of the markets verizon was forced to divest, I'm 99% sure there is no 3g in my area.. so that rules them out.. and Sprint also has no service in my area...

Advice anyone???

Coverage with alltel was actually pretty good in my area. It all started back with midwest wireless...those were the days, lol. Alltel bought them out in 05..3 companies in the same market within 5-6 years.. its apparent big business wins in the cell biz...

By the way I am on alltel and just signed a 1 yr in dec of 09, decided since there doing 1yrs at a 2 yr price i could get a sweet phone for cheap and not be locked in too much after the att thing happens. from wjhat i har from att customers there is a fair amout that are mad at the coverage. alltels coverage up north is awesome. long live alltel or not....

WELL...we have a National 1000 with free incoming calls, N&W @ 7pm and m2m w/ unlim txt/pix/vid for $110 for 3 lines.

or

National 2100 same features as above for $140 for 3 lines.

Do you need the 2000 minutes? In my experience with the free minute bundles most families dont need much more than 1000. You may be the exception 😁 The nice thing with USCC is you can change your plan anytime with no contract extention or penalty so if you start at 2100 and based on usage you can move down, you can do that! Also, we offer a 30 day service and phone guarantee as well as the ability to upgrade your phone after just a year and half, not to mention our battery swap program. If your battery is dying stop into any USCC and we will exchange...
