The way to get your prl updated is simple I think many people are just listeing to alltel in saying it can't be done ! But let me tell you it surely can be done! First of all you need to program the phone with your min,mdn and sys id and the blackberry registration id To do this simply hit ##000000 and then hit send !Then the programming starts which is really simple ! Just change the mdn,min,sys id, and the blackberry reg id which in my area is 144 you edit that by highlight bberry reg id and hit the blackberry key and select edit bb reg id then hit save and the phone will restart! Once it comes back on try updating the prl by calling *22800 or *22801 this should forcre it on alltel it will say to activate your phone press 1 i think and to update your roaming capibitlites hit 2 ! so press 2 then that updates the towers to alltel ! Now what you need is the service books which I can email them to you if you need just let me know but there is still some other steps to do that is why I said go to crackberry.com this topic comes up daily there just search for Alltel serivce books or tmobile service books and follow the process you will need the alltel service books this is what makes it go on the web and also what makes all data work!
