Interestingly, I have a Verizon phone activated with my Alltel plan. I bought the phone outright, I'm getting another "My Circle" number, making 11, and I plan to just stay with what I've got on a month-to-month until there's a reason to make a switch.

It's really too bad Alltel is going away altogether, whether it's with Verizon or AT&T. The service is every bit as good as Verizon, and in some places, even better. Those Alltel people, especially the indirects, who are not going to be allowed to become Verizon agents...those are the folks my heart goes out to in all of this. Because of Verizon's rules about an indirect having to be a certain distance away...

that means like every alltel agent in this area will cease to exist there is like 2 agents right within 2 blocks of a vzw store in wilmington and in the mall there is a alltel agent one wing down from the vzw store

But I am sure that they won't just go out of business I think that some may just start to sell another carrier in place of alltel life will go on these agents can do that easily

Im an indirect and there is a corp store just down the road. VZW has already said my location will not be shutting down and both myself and the corp store will be switching.
