Quick Question involving Motorola Q

Hello,

I recently purchased a Motorola Q for alltel account. I am currently using the Krazr, and have the Connect 3 Pack which includes: Alltel Mobile Web, Unlimited messaging, and unlimited data minutes. When I switch my phone over to the plan I am on now (Connect 3 with family talk plan), will I be able to use the features on the Moto Q? Alltel offers the Connect 4 Pack which includes: Alltel Mobile web, unlimited data minutes, unlimited messaging, tv on demand, alltel radio basic, ringback tone subscription, and email. Would that be an upgrade available to my Moto Q once I get it activated that enables me to use the Q's features?? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks

It is Alltel corporate policy that all smart phones be on an Alltel Smart Choice Plan. They say that they run reports to find and catch smart phones with out smart choice plans but I have never seen that happen.

I am currently using a Samsung Delve with the connect pack with no issues for the last three months. The tricky part is if you can get it activated on that plan. Most Alltel sales people are not allowed to activate your phone with out the correct rate plan.

Thank you. I think I am going to activate it online through my alltel account. That should be able to work, because all you have to do is change the ESN number of your active line. How did you activate your phone? I know that you can also do it over the phone. Well thanks again. I'll let you know how the activation goes.

*228 then select the 3rd option.

I've had several customers who have been busted in the account audits, good luck!

As long as you do not sign a contract alltel cannot make you go on a smart choice plan. If you do sign you will have to stay on that plan for the entire contract no matter what phone you have.

Also the "mobile web" is different you will still be charged for using the internet explorer or Opera mini. But in regards to the txt you will be fine. The Q does not have pic messaging

The Q is not compatible with the radio, tv etc.

You will be able to use the email feature as long as you download the app. You will not be able to use the outlook on the unit.

You can add the unlimited data feature as a stand alone add on for 39.99/ month and that would give you unlimted access to email and use of internet explorer.
