please help...i have teh strobe, got it in dec...the phone sux but i can't upgrade or live with this phone any longer..it constantly freezes and yesturday gave some type of weird error message cam up????? how can i get another phone??
...
sounds a lot like a warranty issue to me.
...
if i go through the warranty will i get the same make/model?? will it have teh same issues?
...
you can have CS mail you a replacement or you can go to a hub store and pick up a replacement. if you have insurance on the phone, you can just tell asurion that you want to file a claim on a moto razr or lg 8600, whatever you want they dont know what phone you have, they'll mail you the new one. otherwise, shell out the full retail price and buy the phone you want.
...
I CAN REALLY FILE A CLAIM FOR THE 8600?????I LOVE THAT PHONE.THANK YOU 😁
...
i don't know about that, i know nothing about alltel or asurion but im sure if someone gets wind of your scheme you wont be getting any phone.
...
Its called insurance fraud. It's a big no-no. Like possible jail time no-no.
...
i have done so much illegal stuff like that and it worked!
...
Thank you for causing the premiums and deductibles to be more expensive for the rest of us.

Ya you have to sent the phone back to them and they are going to know! then you are going to have alot more problems 🙄 don't listen to allteljensen they don't know what there are talking about! 🤣
...
I will keep that in mind.I wasn't sure if asurion works in diffrent ways with the diffrent carriers. With cingular they request the imei before sending the replacement phone. So I can assume the only thing to do at this point is to follow through with the warranty exchange? I have read that all of the strobes have the same problem? If that's the case,it would be a known defect through the carrier and I may be able to get a diffrent model? again i'm not sure how alltel works. 🙂
...
With USCC they request the esn, and I have had them tell me what kind of phone I have before I get a chance to tell them myself.
...
Asurion doesnt request/trace ESN's, so this is the loophole for INS claims. Sure, its against Asurion policy, but ignorance would be the best defense IF anything did happen after...
(What? I didnt request a Moto Razr, the Asurion rep must have misunderstood me...oh well, now I have a Razr instead of the ****ty Strobe...)
...
next ?,is teh 8600 insurable? 😉
...
Every Alltel handset is avail via Asurion.
...
We use a branch of Asurion, so maybe it's a difference from carrier to carrier. It's still insurance fraud.
...
I've done it for walk-in customers, they bitched about getting a lesser quality replc for the INS claim, and I've given them the info to get a better phone...
The only thing he/she would have to worry about is a goody-goody WC if he/she picked up the new phone at a retail store...
Jailtime??? ahhh...sure, the FCC would be very concerned about this...dork
...
THIS IS INCORRECT INFORMATION.
Asurion does have the information on the phone, tracked by ESN. Obviously someone here has never bothered to read the Asurion documentation.
Asurion is able to track by ESN because part of the agreement that they sign with Alltel states that Alltel furnishes needed account information to them, regarding such things as phone make and model, and if premiums are up to date.
