Amen to that. I went to go look at it up close and personal last night and honestly I'm not impressed.

I hope the i930 doesn't have the cheap feel that is phone has. I'm gonna stick with my i95 for a while longer too and keep $300.00 in my bank account. 🤣

I called to get one and they're already out of stock, thay said call back next week. They're on backorder at Amazon as well. I love when they advertise a new product but don't have nearly enough to fulfill needs. Nextel is starting to become very unimpressive.

yea i have it in my stores we are almost sold out too.. but i only ordered 10-15 phones 70 percent silver. it seems like the silver ones are gettin bought more than the copper. well its not nextel's fault so stop saying that nextel is becoming very unimpressive. motorola makes the phones so they are unimpressive. its mot's fault not nextels.

if i get a great response like i am gettin now in silver i might just only have maybe 5 or so copper and order the rest in silver. and i mean 10-15 phones per store just lettin you know. i dont like it becuase of its battery and its the same thing as the 730. cept the lcd on the 830 (outside lcd) is differnt than the 730.. thats the only differnce and that the battery on the 830 is worse than the 730. i even people who talk to me and i told my sales personal to tell the consumers that come into my store not to get this phone becuase of it , but it seems like the consumers dont listen. but i told people who i talk to not to pay 300 bucks for this phone than another 500 or so for the 860 or 700 for the 930 when they come out a quarter or a few...

I got the i830 silver and love it. Quit whinning about the battery. I always charge my phone at night and find the battery to last the day. I'm not on the phone 24/7, but I do make quite a few calls. The i830 is a very good phone. I upgraded from the i95.

Oh and by the way, I wouldn't waste the money on the i860 because it is a camera phone and the FCC is thinking about banning them (along with many businesses) because of privacy issues. So, unless you like a toy that takes substandard pictures compared to an actual digital camera, get a real phone. The i830 does the job just fine.

"Oh and by the way, I wouldn't waste the money on the i860 because it is a camera phone and the FCC is thinking about banning them (along with many businesses) because of privacy issues. "

fcc doesnt matter. people will still take pics and all that stuff. people like gadgets. i have a digital camera and i will get the 860 for my personal use as well. its jsut a cool gadget. fcc might be able to ban it but not stop it. becuase the majority of sales are actually camaera phones. and then the fcc would have to pay a lot of money back to the carriers becuase some of their bus. is camera phones. so yea. the fcc doesnt have any money. so yea they wont ban it. and like i said before if they do they would have to repay the companies which they do...

I also said company are discouraging the camera phones. So you're telling me that if your company tells you that they don't approve of camera phones or don't want them, you'll ignore that because you like gadgets, you'll possibly risk your job? Look, if you want to take crappy pics (compared to actual digital cameras) and then send them for a fee (depending on the plan of course), that's your business. I'd rather take the safe route and have my phone for what it is. A FREAKIN'PHONE!!!!! At least I won't be looked down upon by certain people for having a camera phone.

If I want a pic, I use my digital camera. And I'm also glad you know so much about the FCC, because you obviously don't.

actually i could careless about the fcc. its takin the fcc to figure out this whole fcc plan (consensus plan put forth by nextel) its causing more interference and they cant even get it resolved.

it wont be baned. everyone would sue the fcc for either to stop the ban or and for the revenues that they lost from the future potential sales.

and if fcc does ban it so they do then no one has camera phones, but i dont think the fcc can stop everyone. including in united states and in other places in the world.

but we will see if the fcc ever will act on that. they seem not to act on the consensus plan which is more important than baning camera phones.

by the way camera phones will help homeland security. by takin pics and puttin it into the database of criminals or terrorists and people in the cia fbi and other organizations can send them to each other by phone (camera phone) and it will help to find those people.

so the fcc wont ban the camera phone. especily becuase they can use it (the camera phones) for homeland security , which is pressed and very critical in the time of war against terror.

Because the war on terror and homeland security needs camera phones. Don't forget that camera phones can violate privacy laws and protections. With our freedom under attack from our govn't already, are you willing to sacrifice our privacy so the consumer and homeland security can have camera phones? I'm not.

Oh and it will be challenged. If the FCC wants to ban something, they will, period. Look at their reaction to the janet jackson incident.

ya look at the reaction? lol they did nothing. they just fined and did nothing. belive me it wont stop united states and over seas. it will be challenged it will be in court. and the homeland secuirty officials will say tuff like. then the congress can go into this becuase it has to do with homeland security. this wont be baned. but till then it doesnt matter. first and most important the fcc needs to act on this consensus plan. like isaid before its far more important , the consensus plan, then baning cell phones.

sorry but homeland security is far more important than our privacy. and yea they can violate laws? but so what. all phones are tapped. the interenet is tapped. but you say that camera phones will violate privacy laws? well guess what all the things that the fbi can do and the cia can do now like the things i mentioned before our privacy already have been violated. becuase of the terror thats why our privacy rights have been violated. and they should do whatever they can to make this country safe.
