What is the problem with NEXTEL in Southwest Florida
I was wondering if anyone can tell me why NEXTEL service in Southwest Florida (specifically Naples) is so bad? I havehardly been able to use my phone for the past few days, and during the last 2.5 months, network quality has been declining rapidly. At first I thought it was my phone (i730). I has a software upgrade installed in it, but it has not helped much at all. I went back again to NEXTEL, but all they did was to to a master reset on the phone and create a trouble ticket. At this point, I am really considering another carrier (maybe T-Mobile), but I want to stick it out because of the upcoming merger. Any suggestions.....?

😕 Surprised to hear this! Compared to all the other carriers I have or had I find Nextel to be the best...I can't even talk on Cingular or Verizon without getting dropped. No problems from Sarasota to Ft Myers for me and my husband travels statewide and except the alley he always has good service.

Yeah, get something outside of Nextel. But don't listen to Nextel 18, Nextel is god to him.

If this keeps up (are you still in contract?) then switch. NO point in paying for a phone that dosent work...
Or send a petion to nextel, it might be an issue with a local tower the're not aware of (however i doubt they will listen, there important men!)
