I have the i730 and DID switch from Cingular. I live in upstate NY and the Cingular coverage was horrible...absolutely horrible.
I really love the new phone and find it very intuitive and easy to use. It gets great reception...from upstate, southern Canada, as well as all the way down the state to NJ.
Though pricey, if you qualify with Nextel for credit, youc an order it over the phone and NOT PAY ANYTHING until your first bill. I recommend you look at the free incoming plus plans. All your incoming minutes are FREE! Plus you get a nice starter package for the Nextel web services.
