Two months of Sprint Nextel service (my experience)

by Cellular Phone    Apr 30, 2010, 8:26 AM

Well I've had my Sprint Nextel service for two months and here's a recap:

(I use the Motorola i365 and I love it because people think I am carrying around a cordless phone, to which I laugh and reply, no it's a cellular phone!)

Signal/Reception: Honestly, I think the signal quality and voice quality of iDEN is very decent. There were a couple of times I had dropped calls, but my apartment doesn't get good cellular reception period regardless of carrier (I had many different carriers too). I really like iDEN, it's a good network.

Texting: I text occasionally, and the only downer is you have to wait a few seconds for it to download to the phone, but this is a minor con.

Customer service: Outstanding. I have had nothing but great customer service whether it be on the phone, or on chat, or in person. Sprint is really working to make sure we have good customer service.

Price/Value of plan: I get a 22% employee discount with my employer (which no one else can match). The plans are generous and the prices are competitive with other carriers (in fact lower pricing has helped Sprint slow subscriber loss).

The Phone: I love this phone. It's big, rugged, and solid as a rock. Dialing and texting is easy, and this phone gets great reception. I did have problems starting it up, half the time it had a white screen, so I had to take the battery out. But then I deleted some of the games I downloaded, and that seemed to take care of the problem.

Overall: I am very well pleased with Sprint. I have had AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, and they are ok, but I prefer Sprint's service.
