To those considering the 8350i...

by Amarantamin    Apr 28, 2010, 1:39 PM

Don't do it. You will not like this Blackberry. It will not provide faster internet than your current Nextel model. The texting will likely be worse. You will not realize this until after your 30-day return period. Sprint/Nextel will not be willing to take the phone back. No amount of troubleshooting or service/repair can fix your issues, because the phone is not broken. You will not get an early upgrade to get a phone that meets your original expectations of this Blackberry. Your upgrade will not entitle you to a free comparable Sprint blackberry. You will not be let out of your contract because this phone sucks. You will feel cheated. You will feel mislead. You will feel as if your data plan is useless, but you will not be given credit for it. You will hate this phone, and in turn, grow to hate Sprint/Nextel. You will inevitably cancel your service.

Buy the 8530, or another Sprint smartphone instead. It will provide you with the internet and texting services that you crave. Forget your Direct Connect, nobody uses it anymore anyways. It's just not worth the trouble.

You have been warned.

That will be all.
