Re: if you could change one thing
FIrst, I'd get rid of everyone that was a Sprint employee before the merger with Nextel. Sprint was an incredibly bloated company before the hard times hit. Then I'd sell the former Sprint CDMA assets to Verizon, and sell the Nextel+Boost assets to NII Holdings (stock symbol NIHD) and let the former Nextel employees transfer to NII, because the former Nextel was actually a very lean & efficient company before the merger. No, I'm not an employee of either, never have been, I'm just a long-time customer.
The Sprint customers would be happy being with Verizon and the Nextel customers would be happy being with NII Holdings.
As it is now, the bad marriage between Sprint & Nextel will never get any better, and both parties (Sprint & Nextel) are just going to be miserable forever. So they might as well split the CMDA & iDEN assets down the middle, sell to Verizon and NII Holdings, both of which are far more successful companies than Sprint-Nextel has been, and get on with a better life for all. No more of the Sprint side blaming everything on Nextel and vice-versa. Everybody wins.
