LG Lotus Downloads?

darthv3ggie

I recently got an LG lotus as a gift. I don't have any kind of internet plan on it, so I was wondering if there is a way for me to download and install Java based games onto it?

I've tried downloading .jar and .jad files, but the phone always recognizes them as an "invalid fil", so I have no idea what to do with them..

I really just would like to be able to install some simple programs or simple games.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

You could:

1- waste hours upon hours trying to sort out how to do it

or

2- add a data plan, download a game or two, wait a day, cancel data plan (and therefore pay only a prorated amount for it)

Seriously, just add it, get what you need, then cancel it. The time wasted in looking for a work around isn't worth it.

jrfdsf:

Do you mean a single Sprint-Nextel forum, with all Sprint-related and all Nextel-related posts comingled into one forum, or do you mean two distinct forums (one Sprint-only plus one Nextel-only)?

I think if they had left it as it was originally, one called "Sprint" and one called "Nextel", it would be fine. But as it si now it is confusing because the Sprint name & logo appear prominently on two forums, with only the nearly-unreadable "Together with Nextel" in micro-type below one of them.

BTW, jrfdsf, I PM'd you over at BAW a couple of weeks ago (Direct Talk range question); do you ever check in over at BAW any more?

I thought I had replied via PM back.

I personally like Directalk because of it having voice privacy and allowing one to carry a single device rather than two or three.

jrfdsf:

No, there was no PM to the Direct Talk question on BAW, just the one on every-day DC uses.

I still think DirecTalk is a great feature, in fact it's a dynamite feature that only Nextel users get, and for free no less. I was just a little surprised that the range was affected that much in the forest.

re: "Directalk voice privacy": Isn't it true that DT has privacy only if you are using an active DC number on both phones. If you use any of the channels, it's not private. In my case one of the phones being
