I work in an iden only store for sprint in iPCS territory and they won't tell us anything. Just wondered if there's any news out there i'm missing. It's frustrating not knowing whats going on with my job! I'm 99 percent sure we are going to be sold or shut down - just don't know much. I do know that any people we have on our advantage club with lines in ipcs sprint network territory have to be moved to iden, cancelled or moved to a sprint consumer plan by sept. 15th 09.

if you are in iPCS terrorritory it will be prohibited to sell nextel, because it is not allowed to compete in those markets due to the result of a lawsuit...

Yeah I am working for sprint nextel selling nextel only in ipcs territory so we are well aware that jan 26th we can no longer sell nextel in the icps territory. I guess what I am really looking for is if anyone has heard about potential buyers or shut down of sprints nextel stores in the territory. we are just kinda going day by day wondering when we are going to get our severance and what our job future is like.

Three qualified wireless companies that come to mind are SouthernLinc, Nextel International, and Telus Mike of Canada.

In addition, I'd bet that a handful of venture capital firms would consider buying the assets, because Sprint is likely to let the iDEN assets go for a cheap price just to meet the court-imposed deadline.

It's not like Sprint can hold out for the best price, similar to a divorced couple willing to sell their house for a lot less than they COULD get for it, because they just want to get rid of it quickly and move on with their lives.

I wouldn't sweat it if I was you. I'd keep my eyes open for anot...
