Very true, Verizon DOES take extreme liberties with their coverage maps. They are the only carrier in the US without a reasonably accurate coverage map. Much cheaper to have the webmaster paint the entire lower 48 states red and leave the rest up to marketing hype.

In my previous post, I should have stated that Verizon's marketing prowess is far better than their operational & CS abilities. And just as "discretion is the better part of valor", so is "marketing is the better part of business success".

Although Verizon definitely uses questionable tactics (as I did state in my previous post), they do have the overall best network in the US. Not perfect, nowhere near as good as they have people believing it is, but overall it is slightly better than anyone else's. At least that has been my experience (and I'm not a Verizon fan).
