1) Every phone company loses money on the initial phone sale with the intent of gaining that money (and a profit) back during the contract. No more contract = no gain back of money lost.

2) Every phone company has idiots who are trying to make the sale on the data package rather than the right phone for the right customer.

I don't have a problem saying that there are areas that VZW needs to work on. While I am not excited about the restocking fee, I understand why the company is charging it. This is going to affect someone who returns the phone the same day because they picked up the wrong one or the person who gets a phone that isn't working. This is going to affect the people who come in and upgrade to a storm and two weeks later return it for an env2 and then a week after that return the env2 so they can repeat the process the next month.

Face it, this is the same thing any other electronics reseller does.

Hmmmm.....doesn't the iphone have a restocking fee? Does that mean that att and apple are horrible companies, too?
