What a Nightmare...Be wary

Let me begin by saying this is also a testament to my own ignorance as well a declration of corporate manipulation of the consumer. ..
I placed an order with Sprint through wirefly.com, however, I was contacted by Sprint the next day saying there was a problem and I may need a deposit. Ok, no big deal, I call customer service, sit on hold for 20 minutes, only to be told that, oh, there’s no problem, everything should be fine. The very next day, I am again contacted, stating the SAME thing, this time I call wirefly, and tell them 2 cancel the order, and I place one with Verizon, which goes quite smoothly.
After some deliberation however, I decide to go back to sprint, as the plan I use is $50 a month cheaper. This time I place the order through the Sprint Private Store, which is because I work for a major bank and we get a discount. So, I place the order for a Blackberry Curve, seemingly without a hitch. Until, low and behold, I’m contacted the next day saying I need a deposit! After another 15 min on hold, once again, I’m told everything is fine. Cool. Shortly after, a co-worker, who had ordered the same exact thing, told me he was just told that the curve was on back order. I promptly give him a “Naw”…I had just spoken to someone about that order, they surely would have told me… … … So, I call back, sit on hold for a few, and finally get through. I am told It’s fine, we’re (Sprint) getting some on Monday (it is Friday Currently). I politely say no problem, and enjoy my weekend. Monday afternoon rolls around, and I notice I still don’t have an order, so I call back…and hold. This time I’m told the Curve will be in this week sometime, but no exact date is known…fine. Thursday rolls around, still no order number. I call again, and there is now no ETA on the Curve. I then ask if I can just switch to a different phone, to which I am told sure. After being transferred and holding, I place the order for a Samsung Instinct. Now, that this is all done, I am told that It will cost $220, and then I get a $100 mail-in rebate, bringing the cost to $129. Now, I ordered through work because part of the discounts are that the rebates are instant. However, by ordering this way, I can’t get the instant discount… So, now I have the ordered canceled, and have to place a new on on-line. I am also told it will take up to 72hours for the purchase amount to be credited back to my account. Hooray.
I place the new order for the Samsung Instinct, still on Thursday. Friday I get another email…and to my surprise, there is a problem and I need a deposit! I call back, and guess what, It’s STILL fine. At this point, shame on me for still trying.
Saturday…I get a phone call from Sprint, the Instinct is on Back order! I Call back, to have the ordered cancelled, which I’m told can’t be done at this point…??? So, I go to a nearby Best Buy after to work, as the phone is $129 without a Mail-in rebate! As the Best Buy Employee tries to set up the phone, there is an error in the system with Sprint…I need a deposit! SO, I once again call, and am once again told its fine, and am told this time the order is cancelled, but it may take 72 hours to get my money back. Ok.

Monday rolls around, and I look at my bank, and there is 2, yes 2 charges from Sprint, one for each order I have placed. So, I am once again charged for the first cancelled order, that was ALREADY REFUNDED. So, back to the phones, I call Sprint and after several minutes and 10 explanations, the rep finally sees what happened, and I am told that the Instinct Order is now REALLY cancelled and the I will see the 2 refunds (mind you, for one of the 2, this will be the SECOND time it’s refunded) in 72 hours.
Now, here I am, one week later, after being on the phone with Sprint for 45 minutes because I received an e-mail saying my Samsung Instinct was shipped, and I have still not seen a refund for this order (the previous order has since been re-refunded). So, as it stands, I have a phone being shipped to me I called 3 TIMES to cancel, a charge of $244 on my account (because they still didn’t honor the instant discount), and HAD to call UPS to see if the phone could be sent back, which it can’t until I get it. The best part is, I now have to wait up to 45 DAYS for my refund because the phone is being shipped.
