For someone who has been in the industry for so long, you seem a bit misinformed a few things.

First Google didn't "Vadge out" on the 700 mhz auciton. It was never their intent to win spectrum, their intent the whole time was to drive the bid up high enough to ensure Open Access.

Second T-Mobile itself may not have the Capital, but T-Mobile is owned by Deutchse Telekom and they definately have the money to do so, especially with the status of the Dollar, it would be a great time for a foreign company to buy and get it on the cheap.

Now I do agree that I don't think it will happen due to the complex nature of the networks and the different direction of the companies but if Deutchse wanted to do it, they would have the money to do so.
