One thing that could be done to make the merger easier would be to offer dual band GSM/CDMA handsets such as: Sam Ace or W399, Moto Z6c, BB 8830, UTStar t66. This could allow for an easier transition to one platform.
Yes that still leaves the people with legacy Nextel equipment out but lets face it Iden has no real path for upgrade and they now have functions similar to ptt on GSM & CDMA.
Another thing that could be done to help would be to buy out all the Sprint Affiliates.
With both companies using the 1900Mhz band that should make a transition easier to complete. Both companies have similar coverage but they both have areas where they are stronger and could make an overall coverage improvement for both. Plus the combined group would make one of the strongest international players.
