I work for at&t...I wouldnt mind if we bought Sprint...however I would not like the length of time it would take to convert all those IDEN and CDMA customer to GSM...along with the towers, however it would be great for business....im sure the other carriers wouldnt mind either...I wouldnt mind if sprint just went out of business either that would be great for us and other carriers aswell

I would hate if sprint merged up with tmobile or whoever else simply because they overcharge there coverage is terrable and their plans are not worth it. it would be at7t and cingular all over again. when they collided dropped calls happened more for most people (not everyone but most) so in my opinion sprint merging with anything other than current taken over nextel would be a big mistake.

Sprint + Alltel. Good for Sprint; probably bad for Alltel.

As a Nextel sub for a number of years, I personally wish that Verizon had bought Nextel.

Sprint has been a third-rate outfit for years & years; their complete botch-job of the Nextel system is just reinforcement of that fact.

Verizon on the other hand, arrogant though they might be, has the financial might and the genuine understanding (technical & marketing) to have properly executed the acquisition & integration of the Nextel system.

NEXTEL|Done.
Verizon|Done.
Sprint|SUCKS.

I could see Verizon or Alltel working well with a Sprint merger/buyout.

Will never happen, but google merging with sprint this sprint is a very big possibility.
