Hybrid phone question

txnexteluser

Jul 21, 2007, 2:32 PM
I ordered a hybrid phone but am now being told that my area (zip 79415) is not available for the hybrid yet.

I originally ordered the ic502 (read the forum and it sounds like a good phone) but instead, I received the ic402. I'm having to return it because I'm told that I cannot use the hybrid at all. My contract is up in a few weeks and I would love the 902 but now I'm told I cannot use the hybrid.

Can anyone verify if this is true?

I was told by a rep that I should be able to get the ic502 in my area, but her systems are conflicting in that one tells her I can get the phone, but another says that I cannot based on my 79415 zip code.

To make it worse, the store here sells the hybrid but it's $100 more than what the care reps that tried to talk me out of cancelling my contract are offering.

So now, depending on what I speak to, can and cannot get the phone ordered but I still have to wait until the original care rep who ordered the upgrade for me returns my call to send back the ic 402 to get the ic 502.

But, she told me she would waive the fees but calls to customer service state that she charged me anyway.

Is there anything I can do?

Here's what I want...

There is coverage for Power Source. I'll be more than happy to help. Send me an email with your phone number and I'll help you as best as possible. I can't give you Sprint's employee care, but I can give you some helpful nubers if you care to do it yourself. I will respond to your email on Monday.

I sent you the information you requested. I called and I am being sent the ic502 but now I am being charged $450. Don't know why but they have also suspended my service. I'm pretty much ready to cancel my service.

Ooops!!

Don't worry, I changed the phone number anyway. I was trying to respond to Yean and just simply messed up.

On the bright side, I may have finally resolved all of my issues with the ic502!!

Well, I called and spoke to every department that I had called and explained my version of what I think they had done.

I finally got to someone who actually listeneed to what I said and they explained several options. That and a lot of praying to ALL the gods!

I am still on a "Wait and see what happens" but they have until the middle of next month when my contract ends.

I'll pretty much be left with 2 cans and a piece of very long string because I'm NOT going back to Cingular!

I have actually checked if your eligible to get the hybrid phones and it seems that you are eligible to get one. I have also checked on your powersource phone coverage and it seems that you have great coverage in your area. Try to call them back and get a representative that could assist you
