ic902 coming by end of February
Does anybody have any updates in regard to the Motorola ic902, I have heard that it is supposed to be out by the end of February, does anybody have any more definitive information about it?

that phone looks cool but it sucks that it doesn't have 850, i roam a fair amount won't work for me. you aren't concerned about this?

so you never roam because I live in Seattle hardly in the sticks but my phone will just flip over to roam in certain areas, does this never happen to you??

no roaming, all nyc as far as i have seen has full coverage with every carrier, i got the phone 2 weeks ago and i have never seen less than 3 bars

i assume also that eventually they will put cdma 850mhz into the newer phones, not sure why they havent put it in so far perhaps it causes some kind of conflict with the iden 850mhz system?

how do u roam on nextel my 880 or any of my other phones never roamed .also isnt the 902 a daul mode phone ? the phone is cdma and the walkie dc is still iden isnt it ?

Im not really sure if a nextel can roam, I dont think it can but i can be wrong. The ic902 is a hybrid phone and as far as I heard it is supposed to be coming out by end of february and yes it is cdma for voice calls and iden for push to talk. there are already 2 hybrid phones released but they are basic phones (ic402 and ic502) you can put those model numbers in jump to phone above to get more information on them.

Nextel has never roamed on other carriers - iDEN is iDEN only - except for "Partners" and SouthernLinc.
The PowerSource phones - aka Hybrids - support 1900 MHz CDMA only - no support for 850 MHz.
