Nextel to Sprint

I have a Nextel phone under my dad's plan for his business and I was wondering if I could get a Sprint phone. I'm not exactly sure what his plan is but I know he needs 35 phones and if I switch to another carrier he would be losing money. So my question is can I turn in my Nextel phone for a Sprint phone? I have a 870 and it's just too big and not for me.

You can get one and probably trade-in your Nextel phone, but unfortunately as of now, Sprint does not allow anyone to mix and match PCS and IDEN on shared minute plans. You would have to get a stand alone plan, then you'd have to be sure both you and your dad have free M2M in order to talk to one another for free. If phone size is your main concern, check e-bay for the Nextel i830. This phone is smaller than most Nextel AND Sprint PCS phones. It's just a basic color phone, but it's very small. My wife had one before she got her i870 phone, and loved it. It's only a tad thicker than the RAZR phones and a whole lot smaller.
