FEMA transitioning from Nextel DC to Sprint DC

Good news for Sprint's CDMA- based "Sprint Direct Connect" PTT service:

"...Most noteworthy is the retention of the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), which had been on the Nextel network for its push-to-talk feature. The government agency announced a deal to transition over to the Sprint network as Sprint Nextel winds down its Nextel network by the middle of next year.
