Sprint BB Curve

Oct 21, 2008, 2:17 PM
I am getting a new curve from Sprint,

A. I currently have the instinct on the 99 unlimited plan. Would i still be saving money by keeping the curve on this plan as well. I know minutes its good, but how bout everything else.

B. I had a world edition bb with verizon about a year ago, and i know it was locked down, is the sprint curve more open to apps, downloads etc?

Also the main question, is the sprint curve for texting only aloud 180 characters? or is it more...

A. Yes you keep all the features - data, Web, text, navigation, etc that are on the instinct

B. Sprint BB completely open and you can use any GPS app you like.

Yes - SMS - Short Message Service - is limited to 160 characters.

3 Limited to 160 characters. You can do Blackberry IM, it does not limit you to 160 characters. I have no idea how many characters you can do, I have never maxed it out haha. It only works with other people who have Blackberrys. Have at it!

With instinct you are allowed up to 1000 characters for texting.

It does not, It maxes out at 160 characters. I'd double check your sources... Wink

Actually you can do it. You just go to the picture side of messaging but where it says "select media from" you just put "text only. Voila, you now can do 1000 characters. I love this phone.

My "source" has been just playing with the phone and seeing what all it can do. I have found quite a few little tricks to this phone. Wink
