Nextel just lost a customer

I upgraded to the ic 502 but was sent an ic 402. I spent Saturday trying to get the correct phone sent out to me (ic 502) but no one would assist me). They told me only the person whom originally ordered the phone could fix the problem.

Monday, I spoke with someone who assured me that he could help. He ordered the ic 502 for me, told me it would be overnighted to me and would have it sometime Tuesday and stated that the original agreement would be kept.

Tuesday, I called to get a tracking number but they stated that order was still pending.

I was being charged full price for the ic 502 (per customer service notes) and this caused my phone to be suspended.

Called in repeatedly, spoke with supervisor who told me that the balance...

corporate stores are supposed to be able to handle tele/web sales returns/exhanges. why did you go to your local corpoprate owned store?

I didn't go to a store. I went through the phone when I upgraded to the ic502.

I'm trying to return the ic402 so that they will remove the phone charges on my acct. I was sold the ic 502 for $4.99 when I upgraded but was sent the ic 402. When I called in to get the correct phone, the ic 502, I think that's when they charged my account the full price of the ic 502. I was told to hold on to the ic 402 until I get the ic 502 and then return the ic 402.

Now, I'm being told the charge is for the ic 402. Spoke with a supervisor on the phone but she said I cannot return the phone to a store. I have to go through order support. I'm just trying to get what I was promised when I upgraded.

it should be on the notes. telesales do not know what they are doing. but then again, i just process them w/o using the proper m&p for that scenario. they make it a lot harder than what it needs to be.

but honestly, try going to a store. they should be able to assist.

I called the company store but they said I have to send it via UPS because I upgraded on the phone.

This is horrible.

I'm being told by the supervisor I spoke with that it will take up to a billing cycle for the credits for the returned phone to show up on my account. Therefore, I can't even try to upgrade until next month which at that time, I will probably just cancl.

I wish there a number I could call that could solve this entire problem but I think I've called every number that Sprint has.

That might be the only other thing I can do.

I'm going to return the ic402 and then have my account cancel when the contract ends next month.

The only options for cellular service here are:

Cingular - Worst service EVER in this area

Plateau - too small of a calling area

Alltel - better than Plateau but not by much

prepaid - I would rather go without a cell phone

Therefore, I'll probably just go without a cellular phone unless Verizon comes into town.

My problem is that I did nothing wrong. I simply wanted to get the phone I was promised at the price I was promised. I should have gone to the store and paid the additional price and not have had the headaches. I might do that but they would have to give me credit or ...

yeah, it is a shame that bad things happen to good people, but unfortunately that is the price that gets paid when you think you are getting a deal. my suggestion is "yeah, pay more for a phone today but time is more valuable than money"

Yeah, ain't that the truth.

Just found out that the ic502 is on it's way out. I'm afraid I'm gonna just refuse delivery. I think the ic502 and the ic402 are both being charged to my account but I don't know what the prices I'm being charged are. When I spoke to the supervisor at Sprint customer care, she said she could not tell what the charges were but that I would have to pay (the amount changes depending on who I speak to) $298.48.

$298.48 is my balance for the $4.99 ic502. That's a DEAL!!

I think if I can get the ic 402 returned, and if the balance is cleared when the phone gets back to Sprint, and if everything is straightened out, and if customer service will give me something for the trouble they caused me, I'll go to the...

I know this is a frustrating situation. I work for the company, and when I had a similar problem, they did the same type of thing to me, charged me for the new phone and I still had the old one! My phone got shut off, and they were not helping. Because you are on the "new" billing system, you need to get a hold of the cancellations department, and tell them what the problem is. This department is the one that cares about making sure you are satisfied. I'll keep that number handy. It was frustrating and what made it worse is that if any of the reps including a manager had taken the time to see what was happening, it would of made sense that I was being charged for 2 phones. Their response was "just pay the balance and then when the phones get returned you'll get credit."

My response was "you can't explained the charges yet you want me to "trust" you that I will receive credit when the phones get back? Yeah, I'll go for that!! Here's my money!

I'm still going to wait to see what happens to my bill when it generates because since I just upgraded, my account information is not available.

I did speak to 2 good reps who were able to help me some and I was happy to see what someone...
