Nextel Buyback Program??????

catch22pla

Mar 29, 2007, 4:44 PM
I am the manager at a new Sprint/Nextel store and I am not really familiar with Nextel policies. Do they by any chance have any sort of a buyback program for equipment like Sprint has? I have a customer that has 10 phones that he wants to get rid of and was wondering if there was any way to get some sort of reimbursement from them other than selling them on e-bay. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It is through the Buyback program, but it will not be close to what the customer originally paid for.

Go to URL; https://secure.sprintbuyback.com/rbb/ and follow the directions.

Do you think the Powersource phones will remain PCS/IDEN only, until QChat arrives? I finally got what you were saying about "too many radios together". Even though Cingular was able to have a TDMA/GSM/AMPS GAIT phone (which had its own problems), those frequencies didn't really interfere with one another.

With the Powersource phones, you have two totally different networks operating simultaneously, as opposed to the GAIT phones, which simply were designed for voice calls, and selected the appropriate network, based on available coverage.

We all know how Nextel's IDEN network causes interference with other nearby radios. I'm assuming that would be a major problem to have two networks together on the same phone, operating simultaneously...

They only buy back falcon phones (3 digit models ie i530) all other phones the ask if you would like to donate. Reason being, they don't have any use for non GPS phones because of the E911 compliancy rule.
