I am currently with another company and I forgot to pay my bill one month while I was in the hospital. I know this was my responsibility so I did pay the reconnect fee but it was $36.00 per line. I have 4 lines!!!! $148 dollars! sheesh kind of steep... what is the t-mobile reconnect fee per line?

😲 Wow.
🙂 T-Mobile will only charge you $10.00. But you know the fact of being charged a reconnection fee changes depending on your payment history. If you have a not so good to great payment history, they will suspend or cancel your account. Of course that's if it takes you a month or more to pay.
T-Mobile is really flexible. It's a great company. T-Mobile also does not charge those ugly late fees. 😉

Yeah I have been with my cell company 4 years and never once been late... and no I am not lying like I know a lot of customers do to try and get the fees waived... Which however I did not since It was my fault for not having it taken care of. but I though 36 per line was pretty steep. I asked about maybe getting half and they said "Per protocol we do not waive any type of fees that is not due to an error on our part" kind of messed up policy i think. I know customer just because they have been long time cusomters I don't expect any type of certian treatmeant, I pay for a service and they give me service I just thought the fees where kind of high and looking for a new place to go. thanks for the info.

Considering the recon fee is stated in the contract you signed... why were you surprised at the amount? Presuming you read the contract then you should have known what to expect...

I advise all my customers to read EVERYTHING their cell companies send them.

Customer: "I'm going to cancel and move to T-mobile!"

Me: "I'm sorry to hear that sir, I'll be glad to do what I can to keep you as a customer."

Customer: "No, there's nothing you can do! I'm going! Buahahahaha."

Me: "Well sir, I would like to advise you to read their contract and all the information that they give you. Make sure you research to make sure they are the right company for you. Is there anything else I can do for your account with us?"

Customer: *brain...

I did read the contract. Besides I am not there complaing about paying the fees. The contract only states that "that we have the right to charage fees for reconnects and late payments. We also have the right to change the amount of these fees with 30 day notice" Don't assume that everyone that did not know about reconnect fees are too stupid to read a contract. I did read and I even asked about the fee. I was told 36 for the account when I signed up. also I do read everything I get the bills and all the letters. If there is something about ANY type of change of charges then I put them in my file for "cell phone" I checked and there was nothing. might have got lost in the mail? who knows. If I was you I would make sure I knew excatly what I ...
