Unbelievable

I can't believe the nerve of your company. Even the website lies. Of course it corrects the lie in fine print, so they can't get sued, but the sales staff seems to be anything for an add. If you select regional plan it shows all of the state as covered as well as NJ & CT. What a freaking Crock of ^@#*. In large print it says NO ROAMING. The fine print says "as long as your calling from the T-mobile coverage area." ... Every plan is No Roaming from your coverage area, that is what a coverage area is. I don't know how you can live with yourselves. Unless of course you are sociopaths. 😈

Hey genius... no roaming means that you will never pay for roaming. Since T-Mobile only operates with their own towers or another carrier's towers that they have agreements with, you will never end up paying extra roaming charges. The exception would be the regional plan that you are describing, which for you I'm assuming is the NY Metro regional plan, which includes all of New York, New Jersey, and Conneticut. For that plan, anywhere you get a signal in those three states, it is included in your plan with no roaming fees. If you were on the nationwide plan, you could go anywhere in the U.S. and call for free as long as you had a signal. I really don't see how this is a dirty trick or why it is so difficult to understand.

Okay... to this I have to reply because I love these little crack monkey callers. I do not work for T-mobile but I feel their pain on this one. I love the customers that call in all pi$$ed off that have a plan that even says "LOCAL" on the description on every single bill they receive, and they live somewhere in the western states and think New York is local. Umm, I'm sorry, I'm a product of the Californian educational system and all but my g-d people, please LAY DOWN the crack pipe before you sign up for cellular service, LOOK at the map, and READ the contract, that's why it's provided. I'm a disgruntled T-mobile customer. but I gotta side with the rep on this one. Don't be stuck on stupid, regional does mean just that, REGIONAL, and i...

Turtle,
I am not asking them to be Moron proof, in this country good luck. They are not even responsible. If a coverage map shows the entire 3 state area, what would a reasonable person conclude? False, tricksey Hobbitses.

lol I know hun, but responsibilty is something a lot of people lack. Did ya know one of the most funniest things a customer said to me is that it was my companies fault he went over the minutes because we have the best network? Word for word that's what he said, and he wanted credits for the $50 in airtime he accrued, he felt it was neither his fault or his responsibilty for the charges. Thank god for the mute key lemme tell you :þ

Okay, so let me get this straight. It's TMobile's fault that he went over the minutes because our excellent coverage tempted him to overuse his phone? Do I have the gist of it here? Ooooh-KAY then! 🙄 I love the people who get peeved that we don't call them to let them know they're almost over their minutes almost as much as the people who get mad because we DON'T suspend service when they go over the minutes. Can you imagine the screaming howls it would cause if any carrier actually DID THIS? 🤣 And I'm sure that a nag call from the phone company at dinner would go over like a f*rt in a car, too!

I have to agree. Some customers are just unbelievable, some just don't wanna take responsibility for what they do with their minutes. We aren't minute babysitters! Hit #646# and deal with it!

Yeah, I'm with a competitor, but that was his argument. I'm sure you guys put up with the same crap too. Like they broke their own cell phone, due to stupidity, THEY declined the insurance because either their "homeowners insurance will pay for it" or they're too cheap to spend $2.99-$4.99/mo or don't want to pay $35/$50 deductible. What we normally say, which most customers don't get... If you're a dumb@$$. and ya total your brand new car, are you just going to be given a brand new car at no charge? Same difference, you pay a monthly/yearly...

Not altogether that surprising..... what's more interesting is that the consumer (and even, more recently, the advertising campaigns,) blame the excessive charges on esoteric plans. As though it is somehow the companies fault that they are incapable of reading.

It's a ****ing contract - you signed it. If you didn't read it in its entirety you're the one to blame.

What amazes me is that I get calls from new customers asking questions about their rate plans and such, and they APOLOGIZE for taking up my time! 😳 I hasten to reassure them that I'd rather a thousand times spend ten minutes answering the questions first than spend an hour getting across to an irate customer information they should have gotten up front... What do they think the wireless companies spend all that money on call centers for, if not to disseminate information?

I know whatcha mean... And I advise the customer that's why I'm paid to be there, to answer questions, no apologies needed, I'd rather them know their rate plan before hand so they don't turn into the latter....

haha.. i love when people just "don't get" something and then rant about it, only to find they're ranting about nothing.

the regional plan documentation basicaly states that there are no roaming charges. Having a regional plan means just that.. ITS REGIONAL. While you're in your region, as long as your phone is working, use it.. you'll never see an extra charge provided you're calling to and from your regional area and you're not exceeding your minutes.

What's so hard to comprehend about that and how is it even possible that you feel you've been taken for a ride?

Can't forget that small detail of explaining to the customer that roaming and Long Distance are 2 different things. how many times have you heard " but i don't pay no roaming my plan says free long distance so i think these charges should not be there. You guys lied to me. I want out of contract, thats it i am talking to my brothers girlfriends aunt's boyfriend, he's a lawyer. And i want the CEO of you company to call me back to get this handled personally." Seriously these calls have happened. Especially everyone who thinks that we have a direct line to CEO, president, founding father, etc. I'm sure there's other reps out there.

i'd say atleast once a week somebody calls in either to me or someone around me that wants to speak to the president of the company. i just want to tell them they would have a better chance of speaking with the president of the u.s. before getting to speak to the president of our company.

LMAO I hear it every day, and all I say is ya see that thing you signed called a CONTRACT? Read the dayum thing!!!!. I hear so many times about "my lawyer will do this and that". You're disputing a $50 charge that you have to pay a decent lawyer about $400/hr to dispute when it's on the contract and you're just SOL.

The general replay?

Have a nice day, thanks for choosing *censored for non-t-mobile carrier content* 🙂
